New Year, New Products: Yale Home Releases at CES 2020 The new year is here, which means it’s time to look towards the future. And what better opportunity to see what’s new and next than CES 2020? The Yale team, alongside our ASSA ABLOY sister company August Home, is pleased to announce new products and solutions to make your life more simple, convenient and secure than ever. Take a look at what we’ll be sharing at CES this year. Introducing our smart delivery and storage product line with the Yale Smart Delivery Box, Yale Smart Cabinet Lock and Yale Smart Safe. All three products will be compatible with a new Yale Access app and Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge so you can remotely access and manage your smart storage products directly from your phones, from wherever you are. The product line can also be upgraded with a Yale Keypad, allowing you to unlock with a simple entry code without a phone. The Smart Delivery Box, designed in partnership with Kingsley Park, a Step2 Company brand, allows you to conveniently receive and protect packages and perishables deliveries (e.g. groceries, wine, cosmetics, medicine). With 36% of American households having experienced package theft, the Delivery Box offers a “porch piracy” solution that is less invasive than home entry, but more effective than a surveillance camera. Whether it’s weighted down with sand or tethered to the porch (so it can’t be carried away), the box also acts as a thief deterrent by keeping packages sheltered and out of sight. It will be available in Manor Gray later this year. The Smart Cabinet Lock goes inside cabinets or drawers to secure valuable belongings, or items that you don’t want your kids to get into (e.g. cleaning supplies, medicines, liquor). The lock body can be mounted on the cabinet’s interior base or roof using either the included 3M adhesive or screws for a more permanent installation. It will be available for purchase later this year. The Smart Safe can be placed anywhere or mounted to the floor or wall for more permanence. When connected to the Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge, you can use the Yale Access app to lock, unlock or grant access remotely, or easily lock and unlock it through the safe keypad with a customizable entry code. Should you not have a phone or forget your code, you can also use the included key as a back-up entry method. The safe comes with a removable shelf, 4 AA batteries and a physical key, and will be available for purchase later this year. Our sister company August Home has also released an all-new August Wi-Fi Smart Lock—combining August’s signature advanced functionality and security in a sleek product the size of a standard doorknob. It’s 45% smaller in volume and 20% slimmer than the August Smart Lock Pro, and comes with built-in WiFi (removing the need to pair it with an August Connect). With the 4.8 star-rated August mobile app, users can secure, monitor and manage access to the home from a mobile device, from anywhere in the world. It also retains the same DoorSense technology capability and robust third-party integrations that August is known for -- including working alongside any Connected by August Yale lock. The Wi-Fi Smart Lock will be available for purchase later this year. We look forward to making your year smarter, safer and more protected than ever.
